JERÓNIMO CASTELLÓ

Director de orquesta formado en Valencia, Madrid y Viena. Se forma con maestros cómo Cristóbal Soler, Mark Laycock, Johannes Wildner, Arturo Tamayo, Sergio Alapont, Álvaro Albiach, John Carewe, Borja Quintas, Bruno Aprea, Vladimir Ponkin, Enrique García Asensio, Luis Sanjaime… entre otros. Ha obtenido diversos premios y galardones, destacan: Finalista en la XXVII Edición de la "World Music Competition" en la categoría de dirección de orquesta dirigiendo la Orquesta Sinfónica de Castellón, Primer Premio y Medalla de oro en el “XVI Concurso Internacional de Dirección José Ferriz - Montroy (2010).


Sus participaciones como director son muy versátiles, dirigiendo un amplio repertorio (desde música de cámara hasta obras sinfónicas, pasando por zarzuela, ópera y ballet) y variedad de agrupaciones. En julio de 2010 dirige la orquesta rusa de jóvenes virtuosos “La Perla de Moscú”. En el Teatro Principal de Castellón se hizo cargo de la orquesta sinfónica y el cuadro artístico del Ateneo Musical Schola Cantorum en la representación de la zarzuela “La Alegría de la Huerta”. En 2016 es invitado a dirigir la Astrakhan Chamber Orchestra (Rusia) y en 2018 la Orquesta Filarmónica del Estado de Daguestán en el Festival Internacional de Música de Mahkachkalá (Rusia). En la temporada 2018 - 2019 fue director asistente de la Joven Orquesta de la Federación de Sociedades Musicales de la Comunidad Valenciana (FSMCV).


En enero de 2020 dirige tres funciones del ballet "Âtman, el Comiat", junto con la Orquesta de la Comunidad Valenciana y la compañía de danza Ananda Dansa en el Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía de Valencia. Ha dirigido la Orquesta Sinfónica de Castellón y la PKF Prague Philarmonia (Praga). Colabora asiduamente como director asistente del Maestro Cristóbal Soler con Orquestas como Orquesta de la Comunidad Valenciana, Orquesta de Valencia, RTVE, JONDE, Joven Orquesta Sinfónica de la FSMCV, Orquesta Sinfónica de ESMAR, Orquesta CullerArts…  También ha dirigido bandas sinfónicas como el Ateneo Musical Schola Cantorum de La Vall d’Uixó, Unión Musical de Quart de Poblet, Banda Municipal de Castellón y ha sido director titular de la banda Unió Musical del Grau de Castellón.

Actualmente es director titular de la Orquesta Vivaldi de La Vall d’Uixó (Castellón), con la que está creando un proyecto social, artístico y pedagógico, y director artístico de la Unió Artística Musical de Montroy (Valencia), a la vez que prepara sus compromisos como director invitado.

Conductor trained in Valencia, Madrid and Vienna. He takes courses and masterclasses with teachers such as Cristóbal Soler, Mark Laycock, Johannes Wildner, Arturo Tamayo, Sergio Alapont, Álvaro Albiach, John Carewe, Borja Quintas, Bruno Aprea, Vladimir Ponkin, Enrique García Asensio, Luis Sanjaime... among others. He has obtained several awards and distinctions, including: Finalist in the XXVII Edition of the "World Music Competition" in the category of orchestra conducting the Castellón Symphony Orchestra, First Prize and Gold Medal in the "XVI José Ferriz - Montroy International Conducting Competition (2010).

His participations as a conductor are very versatile, conducting a wide repertoire (from chamber music to symphonic works, through zarzuela, opera and ballet) and a variety of groups. In July 2010 he conducted the Russian orchestra of young virtuosos "The Pearl of Moscow". At the Teatro Principal in Castellón he took charge of the symphony orchestra and the artistic ensemble of the Ateneo Musical Schola Cantorum in the representation of the zarzuela "La Alegría de la Huerta". In 2016 he is invited to conduct the Astrakhan Chamber Orchestra (Russia) and in 2018 the Dagestan State Philharmonic Orchestra at the Mahkachkala International Music Festival (Russia). In the 2018 - 2019 season he was assistant conductor of the Youth Orchestra of the Federation of Musical Societies of the Valencian Community (FSMCV).

In January 2020 he conducts three performances of the ballet "Âtman, el Comiat", together with the Orchestra of the Valencian Community and the Ananda Dansa dance company at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia. He has also conducted the Castellón Symphony Orchestra and the PKF Prague Philarmonia. He collaborates assiduously as assistant conductor of Maestro Cristóbal Soler with Orchestras such as  Orchestra of the Valencian Community, Orchestra of Valencia, RTVE, JONDE, Young Symphony Orchestra of the FSMCV, Symphony Orchestra of ESMAR, CullerArts Orchestra...  He has also conducted symphonic bands such as the Ateneo Musical Schola Cantorum from La Vall d'Uixó, Unión Musical de Quart de Poblet, municipal wind band of Castellón and he was chief conductor of Unió Musical del Grau de Castellón. 

He is currently chief conductor of the Vivaldi Orchestra of La Vall d'Uixó (Castellón), with which he is creating a social, artistic and pedagogical project, and chief conductor and artistic director of the Unió Artística Musical de Montroy (Valencia), while he is preparing his commitments as guest conductor.
